Printing a small book with LaTeX and the octavo package
I did some traveling earlier this year and ended up with enough writing material to decide turning it into a small book. When the time came to choose the format, I initially wrote some Markdown files then quickly followed the obvious choice of writing any good-looking document: LaTeX.
I quickly ran into the octavo package which instantly turned my idiotic writings into a glorious, beautiful, tiny book.
And so I began typing it all up and once I was finished I found a duplex printer (i.e that prints both sides of a paper sheet) and began looking out for ways to re-order and layout the document so it can be printed and folded correctly.
Imagine a document with 4 pages: if you were to print two pages per sheet, you'd need to print [page 1, page 4] then [page 2, page 3] to be able to bind the sheets together and respect the natural order of the document. If you print recto verso,
